How is an etched stainless steel sheet produced? and what is stainless steel etching process do you know ?
Etching stainless steel sheet refers to the process and product of etching patterns, logos or characters onto stainless steel sheet by chemical etching method. During the etching process, the stainless steel sheet is treated with a specific chemical liquid or etchant to cause a chemical reaction in the coated area, thereby etching the desired pattern.
The specific etching production process includes the following 6 steps:
1. Choose the right stainless steel material
Choose a suitable stainless steel sheet as the substrate, and clean and polish the surface to ensure the etching effect and quality.
2. Confirm the etching mold pattern
Confirm the etched mold pattern Use tape, wax or special etching glue to cover the part of the stainless steel sheet except the area to be etched to form an etching template.
3. Prepare etching solution
Choose a suitable etching liquid or etchant, usually a solution containing an acidic component. The choice of etching solution and soaking time will affect the etching speed and effect.
4. Etching on the machine
Apply the etchant evenly to the stainless steel sheet and allow it to chemically react with the exposed areas. The corrosive effect of the etching solution makes the metal in the coated area gradually dissolved to form the desired pattern or text.
5. Cleaning and processing
After the etching is completed, the stainless steel sheet needs to be cleaned and treated to remove the etching solution and any residues, as well as to polish and rust-proof the etched area.
6. Covered with PVC film
Cover the cleaned stainless steel etched sheet with a layer of PVC film, and finally prepare for packaging and leaving the factory.
